Line Cook

Plates dishes and completes basic food prepping tasks for a restaurant. Main duties include preparing and cooking food in a specific station, cleaning up prep areas and making sure the kitchen is stocked.

Wait Staff

Greeting guests and taking drink and food orders. Staying attentive to the needs of guests in the dining area. Delivering food from the kitchen to the guests. Ensuring the food order is made correctly by kitchen staff and looks presentable for guests.

Dish Washer

Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers. Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas. May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.

Prep Cook

Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food. Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.

Head Chef

The head chef will work with other kitchen staff to ensure that the kitchen runs effectively, and they’ll be an expert at ensuring food quality and maintaining kitchen equipment. Other duties and responsibilities include:

• Ensure that all dishes are cooked well and presented in an aesthetically pleasing way
• Oversee food preparation, checking that all kitchen staff are performing their duties
• Monitor equipment quality and order new equipment as needed
• Help the restaurant determine how much food and supplies need to be ordered
• Train new kitchen staff

Bartender

Bartenders will work directly with customers and/or servers by mixing and serving drink orders. Their responsibilities include knowing alcohol pairing and tastes, knowing how to make traditional and classy drinks, processing payments, managing inventory and cleaning bar supplies. They may also need to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption.

Host/Hostess

The host or hostess will seat guests and manage the seating chart. They’ll also monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow, and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.

Shift Manager

The shift manager oversees the restaurant while working alongside staff during a specific shift. In addition, they’ll schedule and allocate work to staff members and, if needed, handle additional organizational and administrative activities.
